Easyjet has recently added new flights from three Scottish airports: Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Aberdeen International. The budget airline now flies to Geneva, Switzerland from the Aberdeen International airport: to Marrakech, Morroco from Glasgow Airport; and to Funchal, Portugal from the Edinburgh Airport.

These three flights have been added to the current lineup of destinations. From four from Scotland, available flights are now seven. The new routes are expected to serve 34,000 travelers that will be flying during the winter season.

Service to Marrakech will be twice a week and will run the whole year starting the 29th of October. Weekly flights to Geneva from Aberdeen will start on December 13. Funchal from Edinburgh will fly twice a week and will start next year 2015 on the 3rd of February.

“As Scotland’s largest airline, we are pleased to further strengthen our network of easy and affordable destinations based on feedback from our passengers. We believe Marrakech and Funchal will prove popular winter sun destinations while Geneva offers access to the world-class skiing resorts in France and Switzerland,” Ali Gayward, executive at EasyJet said.

Riad Kheirredine wins TripAdvisor award

There are a lot of factors in considering what makes a hotel an attractive place to spend time while being on vacation. The hotel’s location, food quality and overall price are most likely on every traveller’s checklist. But for those that are particular about the level service, TripAdvisor has selected 10 of world’s best hotels based on the service category.

The largest travel site in the world recently listed the hotels with top-notch service, with a total of 1762 establishments across 98 locations included on the list.

The Riad Kheirredine hotel in Marrakech, Morrocco, claimed the top spot for the best service-oriented hotel. According to one reviewer, the hotel’s staff provides “real added value,” calling them “amazing” and will “treat and pamper you like you are their best friend coming to Marrakech.”

The criteria for selecting recipients of the ‘Travellers Choice Hotels with Exceptional Service’ awards were based from feedback, ratings and reviews from travellers all over the world.

“Travellers have millions of hotels to choose from, and service is one way to stand out in the crowd. It’s clear in reading our hotel reviews that when you have a happy customer, they spread the word,” said Barbara Messing, TripAdvisor chief marketing officer.

In Australia, the hotel with the most outstanding service proved that cost doesn’t always translate into quality service. The Morwell Motel in Gippsland, Victoria, was ranked as the country’s top hotel in terms of service, aside from being named the best affordable hotel in Australia.

The recognition for the hotel’s service is definitely good news, according to Morwell Motel owners Grant Maddern and Anthony Mayer. “Our team is our greatest asset and takes great pride in all areas of the business. We look after our guests as if they are family, making sure all the little ‘one-percent-ers’ add up to a big 110% experience – nothing is too much trouble,” Maddern and Mayer said.

Below is the list of TripAdvisor’s top 10 hotels in the world with the most exceptional service:

    1. Riad Kheirredine in Marrakech, Morrocco
    2. Hamanasi Adventure and Dive Resort, Hopkins, Belize
